Mark is a struggling reporter, and his wife Elena is a romance novelist with a secret. An assignment sends them to a remote resort town built around an ancient fertility goddess, and it looks like the getaway their strained marriage needs. But Elena has quietly decided her next book will be far more explicit than romance. With almost no experience beyond her husband, she starts "taking notes," and every lingering touch and tempting invitation goes into her notebook. As the week goes on, she's less and less sure where research ends and desire begins.
